MILWAUKEE – The number of positive COVID-19 cases in Wisconsin increased by 1,301 on Tuesday, January 26.
There have been 5,753 deaths in the state, with 54 new deaths reported by DHS officials on Tuesday.
Of the positive cases, 23,833 required hospitalization (4.5%), while 507,760 recovered (94.9%), or 21,515 active cases (4%).
More than 2.4 million have tested negative. Over 3 million have been tested.
As for the COVID-19 vaccine, 362,505 doses have been administered. DHS reports that 69,077 Wisconsin residents received the two required doses, completing the series of vaccinations.
