Coronavirus vaccine rollout continues in South Florida

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Florida – The COVID-19 vaccine rollout continues in South Florida as more injections were given on Saturday.

Long lines of cars as people wait to be vaccinated today in Miami Tropical Park.

Across Miami-Dade County, access to the vaccine for people over 65 is expanding, as is demand.

Baptist Health South Florida booked thousands of appointments moments after launching their online appointment portal and are now slowing the scheduling even further.

At Hard Rock Stadium, there will be a limited amount for next week, but many who showed up without an appointment were turned down.

In Broward County, no more queues and no more waiting.

Seniors in Lauderhill told Local 10 News to get their dates they had to browse broken websites and be patient.

As in Miami-Dade, several car locations are open to the public in Broward, but supplies are limited.
