CORRECTION: The two deaths reported by the Tompkins County Department of Health on Wednesday, January 20, did not take place at Oak Hill Manor Nursing Home and were unrelated to COVID-19 cases at the facility. A representative from Oak Hill Manor Nursing Home, Nursing Director Lexi Gutierrez, said this morning that there were no more cases of COVID-19 at the facility. The Tompkins County Department of Health will release a correction at some point today.
TOMPKINS COUNTY, NY – The Tompkins County Department of Health has announced two more deaths from COVID-19 in the county, along with the highest number of positive single-day tests reported to date.
There have now been 21 total deaths in Tompkins County from COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic. Although the deaths were originally reported to Oak Hill Manor Nursing Home, it has now been confirmed to be incorrect information from the Tompkins County Department of Health.

Tompkins County also reported 62 new cases, the highest day of positive coronavirus tests since the pandemic began in March. There are 17 people hospitalized with active cases of COVID-19 and 295 active cases in total.
