Cosmophobia Oculus Quest version confirmed

White Door Games, the developer of the iconic VR horror game Dreadhalls, has announced that a version of Cosmophobia Oculus Quest is on the way.

The game was announced earlier this year for PC VR and at the time, the developer said that a version of Quest and / or PSVR was not out of the game. Although we still have no word on a PSVR release, White Door Games announced last week that Cosmophobia is coming to Oculus Quest.

Cosmophobia Oculus Quest confirmed

Don’t be confused though – this is not the Phasmophobia, which bears the same title, is another horror game with VR support (which could also come to Quest). Cosmophobia is an entirely different game, described as a “survival horror roguelike to escape a dying spaceship filled with nightmare”.

You will have to explore the ship to gather resources to help you get back home to Earth while being stalked by some sort of creature that you can hear ominously growl in all of the trailers.

The latest trailer, embedded above, gives us a better look at the ongoing gameplay of Cosmophobia, captured right on the quest. This includes an overview of the inventory system, which looks quite similar to the one used in Dreadhalls.

You can clearly see the Dreadhalls bones in this footage, just updated with a new setting and much better graphics. It will be interesting to see what other changes have been made and how well Cosmophobia plays Dreadhalls when it is released.

Cosmophobia launches Q1 2021 for Oculus Quest, Oculus Rift and PC VR. It’s now available on the Wish List on Steam.
