SpaceX is preparing for a second series of tests on its launch site at Boca Chica Beach.
Judge Eddie TreviƱo Jr. of Cameron County announced Tuesday that he had ordered the temporary closure of State Highway 4, between Oklahoma Avenue and Boca Chica Beach.
The closure is scheduled for May 28 between 14h and 22h. or alternatively, the 29th and / or the 30th of May, according to a press release.
The first SpaceX test series at Boca Chica Beach lasted three weeks in March. Highway 4 was closed several times while SpaceX tested its Starship Hopper prototype.
These tests ended in early April when SpaceX activated the Raptor engine of Starshop Hopper spacecraft and achieved a short "jump".
