The Guilford County Public Health Division (GCDPH) currently offers Booster doses of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine in all GCDPH community, mobile and health service sites to eligible members of the community who have been fully immunized with Pfizer vaccine for six months or more.

Eligible community members include:

  • Individuals 65 years of age or older
  • People 18 years of age or older who:
    • Live or work in a nursing home or long-term care facility
    • Live or work in a collective living establishment (shelters for the homeless, correctional establishments, dormitories, etc.)
    • Have a health problem that puts you at high risk for serious illness
    • Work in a high risk profession (healthcare workers, first responders, teachers, etc.)

Pfizer booster doses are available by appointment only and can be programmed:

Community members who register for an appointment for a Pfizer booster dose should bring their vaccination card to their appointment or be able to check the dates of their initial vaccination and confirm that they have received the Pfizer vaccine.

The GCDPH continues to accept appointment for everyone first dose COVID-19 vaccines appointment and appointment only for all COVID-19 “extra dose” vaccines for those who are immunocompromised. Additional doses are only available for Pfizer and Moderna vaccines.

Community members who have been vaccinated through the GCDPH can obtain a copy of their COVID vaccination record online at covid-vaccine-portal.ncdhhs.gov. If you have not been vaccinated at a GCDPH clinic, please contact the vaccinator directly.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) have cleared and recommended booster doses for the Pfizer vaccine alone. People who have received Moderna or Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines should continue to monitor local media for developments regarding a booster dose.
