If you've ever wondered why your mind is a hot spot for new ideas in your twenties, you may encounter the first of two creative summits.

A new study from Ohio State University revealed that our mid-twenties became a breeding ground for innovation.

The study has looked at previous Nobel Prize winners of the economy.

It turns out that those who have done their most innovative work in their twenties tend to be "conceptual" innovators.

So, basically, they had a moment of light bulb and acted accordingly.

But do not panic if you have passed your eightieth without an idea in mind: some of us will not have reached their cruising speed before the mid-fiftieth.

"I've been the most creative in my 20 years"

Nana Jones Darko, 24, runs a mobile barber.

He says he's always had a lot of ideas for business, but by the mid-twenties he feels the most creative of his time.

"I'm learning more about technology and networks.

"I think people take you more seriously when you're a little older – and the barriers collapse – which helps your creative brain to circulate and spread ideas."

Just as well, because Nana believes that parents and peers exert strong pressure to succeed at the age of 20, especially if you do not follow the "normal" career path.

He says the pressure also comes from "what you see on TV and footballers who are 20 years old and earn £ 200,000 a week".

"I really believe that there is strong pressure to succeed in business from age 20.

"It's your environment that literally drives you to succeed financially – and to have everything at 25.

"But now I think you're supposed to build at mid-twenties but I do not think it's supposed to be your top."

"You're never too old to be creative"

If you have not achieved what you wanted earlier in life, you can look forward to your second creative summit, fifties.

"This work really shows the fact that there are some very important innovators doing their best work a lot later in their lives," said Professor Weinberg, author of the study.

"And if that's not what happens to you, if you're not one of those who revolutionizes things in your twenties, that does not mean you can not do things." really important later.

According to Professor Weinberg, young people who think they have more to do should continue.

"Someone who is experimenting and gradually accumulating knowledge over time is really someone who really should not give up.
