After calling Tesla's Q1 results, it's official – the $ 35,000 Model 3 standard option will remain active. However, it will no longer be available on the Tesla website. The option is now only available as an "off-menu" item – customers must call or visit a Tesla store to order these cars.

Customers receiving standard-size car deliveries have fortunately discovered more features than they had anticipated earlier – instead of getting the interior trim from the base, they receive software versions of the interior partially premium.

This means they will have the highest quality seat material and power seats, but they will not be able to access other features such as seat heating.

"Similar to other limited-software vehicles produced in the past, Standard customers will have the option of switching to Standard Plus anytime," Tesla said in a blog post announcing the changes.

In addition, all models 3 (ordered after April 11) are now delivered with the autopilot standard, although it is accompanied by a slight increase in the price of non-performing cars.

Today, models 3 offer only two interior options: partial premium and premium. Here is a preview of what you get with them …

The partially premium and premium interiors are very close to what is available. The big difference is the audio system. Although we have not yet found all the details on how the two systems differ, comparisons were made by the owners of both cars.

The video below, from YouTuber, Daniel Spalding, compares the two sound systems. It shows that the partially premium interior has no amp or subwoofer at the rear of the car, unlike the premium interior. It is also clear that the immersive sound is not activated in the partially premium interior, even though Tesla lists it on his website.

The premium interior also retains an exclusive lock on streaming media in the car, as well as on Tesla's satellite maps and navigation system, which use real-time traffic data.

Buyers can not mix and match the interior trim with the battery and performance levels – each version of the car comes with an interior trim. Look at the table below …

Finally, you have the choice between four options. These include the color of the paint, the style of the wheel, the color of the interior and the total self-driving.[Note:leprixdel'self-conduitetotaledevraitaugmenterd'environ1000dollarsle10maiselon[Note:FullSelfDrivingpricingissettoincreaseabout000onMay10thaccordingto[Remarque:leprixdel'auto-conduitetotaledevraitaugmenterd'environ1000dollarsle10maiselon[Note:FullSelfDrivingpricingissettoincreaseabout000onMay10thaccordingtoElon Musk on Twitter.]

At this point, it is possible to add options of $ 9,500 to a model 3. When you factor in the $ 1,200 Tesla destination fee, it is possible to transform the Standard Plus range of $ 39,500 into a vehicle costing more than $ 50,000.

It can be difficult to track any changes made by Tesla to its range of vehicles, and price changes in new cars can make it difficult to track the value of used cars. When looking for a model 3, you must keep in mind options such as interior trim and autopilot.

Tesla's changes to autopilot functionality, as well as the discontinuation of popular Model 3 models, such as medium and long-range vehicles, allow an older vehicle to offer better value based on features important for the buyer.
