Curtis “Dry” Eugene Stewart, 69, of New Cumberland, WV, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at the Stonerise Nursing Center in Morgantown (WV), following a long illness.
Born in Weirton on September 5, 1951, he was the son of the late Eugene H. and Urania (Gorrell) Stewart.
Curtis retired from the Weirton Steel Corporation with 30 years of service and was a member of the United Steelworkers. He loved car mechanics and woodworking at home. He cleverly designed homemade gadgets to solve the problems around him. Curt had a great appreciation for a wide variety of music and enjoyed sharing classic rock with his daughters.
Her two daughters, Jessica Stewart of Savannah, GA and Erin Kelly of Morgantown, WV, survive; two grandchildren, Mitchell and Eve Kelly; his former wife and mother of his children, Cynthia Stewart of Morgantown, WV, and her two sisters, Pamela Fucci and Sandy McDonald.
