CLEVELAND – Cuyahoga County Executive Armond Budish is signing an ordinance requiring residents and employees to wear masks in all buildings in the county, regardless of vaccination status, effective August 5.
“I know we’re fed up with this. I am like you. I am vaccinated, and I liked going out without a mask. But now is not the time to give up our hard work to fight this virus, ”said Budish.
AB: To reaffirm the importance of this, I am signing an executive order stating that employees and the public, regardless of their immunization status, must wear masks in all buildings in the county, effective tomorrow, August 5.

The Cuyahoga County Public Health Council said it supports CDC guidelines that all people, regardless of their immunization status, should wear masks indoors.
County officials said residents can do their part by getting vaccinated if they are eligible.
“For your family, for your friends, for your neighbors, for the most vulnerable person you know, please get vaccinated. And please wear a mask,” said Terry Allan, county health commissioner.
