Peril! Wednesday celebrated great comedians in the category “Funny Business”. But viewers weren’t laughing when none of the contestants could identify iconic comedian Dave Chappelle.
During the Double Jeopardy! round, contestants saw a photo of Dave Chappelle. They also received the clue: “This comedian showed his talents for drama in A star is born, playing Bradley Cooper’s longtime friend. Despite the fairly obvious answer, none of the candidates even attempted to answer.
Guest host Ken Jennings looked a little surprised at the lack of response, but viewers at home were shocked. Many took to Twitter to share their dismay.
Can’t * believe * that none of these Jeopardy competitors knew who Dave Chappelle is? Like what?!

The Twitterverse not only shamed the contestants for their inability to identify Chappelle, but they also shamed a contestant for mistaking a notorious 19th-century general for a rich, creamy dessert.
The final peril! The question was, “These two legends known for their buckskin clothing and long flowing hair met with violent ends 38 days apart in Montana and South Dakota.” Competitor Alex Cohn replied, “Who are Custard and Sitting Bull?” The correct legends involved were George Armstrong Custer and Wild Bill Hickok.
