Additionally, DaVinci Resolve 17 comes with new HDR gradation tools that allow you to create custom color wheels for specific tonal ranges you want. The wheels can even include exposure and saturation controls, giving you the power to make fine adjustments if needed. Blackmagic’s enhanced program also comes with enhanced audio features. It has a new scan tool which can detect individual words, rhythms or sound effects. The tool marks them as vertical lines in the waveform to make it easier to identify specific parts of a video for sound editing.
In addition to announcing the new version of its video editor, Blackmagic also introduced a new DaVinci Resolve Speed Editor console. The accessory has been designed specifically for the program, with buttons and a dial that give you quick access to DaVinci Resolve features. While the DaVinci Resolve software itself is free, the console will set you back $ 295.
