The annual scholarships for children of employees who have successfully completed high school and college education have recently been awarded.
The winners will all attend a two- or four-year college or technical school. The scholarships are competitive and are reviewed by a third party. This year Dawson Metal was pleased to have retired teacher Shirley Daly review and decide on the awards.
¯ Jillian Ullman of Allegany is the daughter of an employee, Ken Ullman. She is entering her final year at Université Saint-Bonaventure, where she is studying to become a high school science teacher.
¯ Taylor DeLellis of Jamestown is the daughter of Leilonni Goodwill. She will be a junior at SUNY Brockport and studying physical education.
¯ Kayle Marsh of Kennedy is the daughter of Jeff Marsh. She is a senior at Slippery Rock University and plans to embark on pharmaceutical research.
Ryan Restivo from Jamestown is the son of Michael Restivo. He is a junior at Saint-Bonaventure University and studies computer science.
Faith Atwell of Jamestown is the daughter of Kim Polenda. She is studying to become a paramedic at the Cassadaga Valley Alstar Training Center.
Dawson Metal Company / Dawson Doors has been offering scholarships since 1980 to the children of its employees who are qualified applicants.
