Just days after two teenage girls from Washington, DC were charged with a botched carjacking that led to the brutal death of an Uber Eats delivery boy, DC police arrested two other teenagers in a another armed hijacking.

The two boys, aged 13 and 14, from southeastern DC, were arrested Thursday evening and charged with armed carjacking, the DC Metropolitan Police Department said.

The carjacking happened at around 8:50 p.m. in Block 100 of 42nd Street in the northeast, police said.

The victim was in the driver’s seat of their vehicle when two suspects approached. A suspect opened the vehicle door and assaulted the victim, police said. The victim got out and the second suspect also started assaulting the victim.

One of the suspects produced a knife and they both got into the victim’s vehicle and fled the scene. The officers who responded located the vehicle and arrested the two suspects. Police said other suspects fled the scene on foot.

MPD told Fox News the vehicle was returned and towed by the owner. No further arrests have been made and the case is still under investigation.

The boys’ arrest comes after a video of the deadly carjacking was released which also took place in Washington last Monday.

Video taken by a witness shows the moment two teenage girls entered the car of Mohammad Anwar, a 66-year-old Uber Eats delivery driver, with a Taser.

“That’s my car!” Anwar can be heard screaming.

Other witnesses in the street can be heard calling the cops. The car then moves forward, with Anwar halfway to the car, wedged between the driver’s seat and the door.

“She steals the car!” witnesses can be heard shouting off camera.

The car heads towards an intersection, where it makes a sharp turn and crashes between two parked cars. Anwar threw himself forward and could be seen lying lifeless on the sidewalk.

Mohammad Anwar was a Pakistani immigrant who came to the United States in 2014 to "create a better life for him and his family," his family said.

Two members of the National Guard who were at the scene pulled the girls from the car. One of the girls can be heard trying to pick up her phone as she walks past Anwar’s body on the sidewalk without looking at him.

The two teenagers are each charged with murder and armed car theft and are being held pending their next hearing on March 31.

DC Mayor Muriel Bowser drew attention on Sunday for sharing a video on “preventing auto theft” amid her silence over Anwar’s death.

“Auto theft is a crime of opportunity. Follow these steps to reduce the risk of your vehicle becoming a target. Remember the motto, #ProtectYourAuto,” Bowser wrote on Twitter, eliciting an instant reaction.
