Dead Anti-Vaxxer’s sister wants people to be shot in her memory

A man from Texas who thought the vaccines were a “poison” died of COVID-19 after spending 17 days in hospital on a ventilator.

Alan Scott Lanoix, father of three boys from Katy, Texas, was too scared to get the coronavirus vaccine and believed he had some level of immunity after being exposed to the virus at work, according to 4WWL TV.

The 54-year-old tested positive in late May and became very ill with COVID-19 and eventually died on June 9. His sons had to bury him on Father’s Day, the local broadcaster reported.

Her sister, Lisa Adler, is now urging others who are also “about to be vaccinated” to be vaccinated in memory of her brother, she told the local broadcaster.

“It’s hard to believe that one decision can change your whole life,” Adler said. “He thought the vaccine was poison and he was afraid to get it and there are a lot of people who feel the same way.”

Adler said she too was initially hesitant to get the vaccine, but her brother’s death prompted her to encourage others to get the vaccine.

“I was afraid to get it myself, but you have to worry about the consequences,” Adler told 4WWL TV. “He was a great person and I urge anyone who is hesitant to get the vaccine to do so in memory of my brother.”
