More Dead Cells isn’t exactly a hard sell (aha!), But that hasn’t stopped the developers from going all out with a new animated trailer for the Fatal Falls DLC. It’s even relevant to the game, introducing a sticky but incredibly vicious sentient sword that just likes to stab.
The sword is just one of the many new weapons to be dropped in the great platformer. On top of that, there are lightning rods that summon lightning from above, teleport serpent fangs for some reason, a ferryman’s lantern that combines melee and ranged attacks, and a mighty iron staff for more melee fun. Expect each of them to splash bloody pixels across your screens by the bucket load.
New areas to cross include floating islands populated by a pagan cult (with huge sentient statues), Storm Undying Shores, and the Mausoleum, where you’ll face off against a gardener who loves only flowers and mushrooms. You are neither, so prepare to be mulched.

Well, looks like I’ll be playing Dead Cells this weekend. This is one of those games that I never uninstall. He’s right there in Steam, waiting for me to get bored of everything else, knowing I’ll end up at The King’s Hand at 2 a.m.
