FREMONT COUNTY, Idaho (KIFI) – One person drowned in Fremont County on Saturday afternoon after a group of people floating in a drifting boat hit a rock and threw everyone in the water. inside.

Fremont County Sheriff’s Office says call arrived around 2 p.m.

A press release states:

“Several responders from the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office, Fremont County EMS and Fremont County Search and Rescue responded due to the location of the incident. First responders had to climb a rocky cliff to get to the scene and once at the scene the victim was to be floated downstream to the next cabin. Rescue measures were taken with the assistance of Air Idaho Rescue.

The victim was transported by ambulance to Madison Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
