Deep space captured in high resolution for the first time | New

Scientists have captured some of the most detailed images of distant galaxies never seen before using an international array of telescopes known as the Low Frequency Array, or LOFAR for short.

By connecting more than 70,000 small antennas from everywhere Europe the team was able to create images that were 20 times the resolution of anything we had seen before.

The results are breathtaking, with the images created using LOFAR telescopes not being much different from what scientists had speculated and asked artists to create based on the information they had.
