A Californian yoga studio claims that former NBA star and Hall of Fame member Dennis Rodman and some acquaintances stole more than $ 3,500 in merchandise, including a 400-pound crystal, entering in the trade on two different occasions this week.

Ali Shah, owner of Vibes Hot Yoga, told the Los Angeles Times that the surveillance video shows Rodman entering Tuesday in Newport Beach with three other people. According to the studio, the four men then worked together to distract an employee so that he could steal clothes.

Rodman, speaking with TMZ about the alleged robbery, said the owner had told him that he could take "some gifts" in exchange for helping to move "the crystal thing".

"As a good person I am, I said:" OK, guys, let's go here and do one thing. " And they call it a heist, "said Rodman." They call it burglary, because guess what? This company (expletive), I guess you call it yoga or something? They are broke … I do not need to steal (expletive). "

According to the Times, the employee who was on duty stated that Rodman and his acquaintances had told him that the "Amethyst geode dope crystal" that was selling for $ 2,500 was theirs and that they were there to retrieve it.

The surveillance video obtained by TMZ shows a man in the studio with Rodman trying to move the crystal onto a cart and drop it, causing it to burst. They then seem to collect the pieces on the cart before the man makes him roll out of the studio.

The studio said the group damaged the floor and left crystal chips, according to the Times.

A day later, Rodman and a woman came back and took more goods, said Shah.

The Newport Beach Police Department said that an investigation was underway and that no one had been arrested, according to the Times.
