SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio Spurs striker DeMar DeRozan was fined $ 25,000 for throwing a basketball at Scott Foster's official club in the fourth quarter of the fourth game between Denver Nuggets and Spurs , Saturday night.

The NBA announced that the fine was due to DeRozan "who imprudently launched the basketball towards officials of the match and in the galleries of the spectators".

DeRozan was sent off after two quick technical fouls for throwing the frustrated ball at Foster, while he was 5:01 behind the match and the Spurs lost 117-103 against Denver.

DeRozan said he was not thrilled after being called to a charge by Foster with the Spurs down 110-92. DeRozan, who left the game with 19 points, five assists and five rebounds, said his ejection was due to the combination of the match and Foster's call.

"Frustration," said DeRozan. "I thought it was a bad call."
