Did Beyonce Make Less Than Ariana Grande and The Weeknd for Coachella?

It has been revealed The Weeknd may have also made more than Beyonce for his 2018 Coachella performance, if initial reports are to be believed about the "Drunk in Love" singer's salary.

A trusted source told TooFab The Weeknd was paid more than $ 8 million to headline last year. The Beyhive collectively lost their minds this week over speculation Ariana Grande Queen Bey for Her Coachella Performance – with a lot more than $ 3 million – $ 4 million.

However, more recent reports place Beyonce at a $ 8 million – $ 12 million salary for her two weekend headlining performances.

While Coachella organizers Goldenvoice do not reveal remuneration details, the apparent discrepancy was enough to shake the Beyhive into a hornets nest.

As her "Homecoming" documentary revealed, Beyonce worked tirelessly for months on the jawdropping production, which encompassed her matchmaking and paid homage to the historic black collects that inspired her (which she also donated $ 100,000 of her profits too).

The Queen Bey is a newcomer to the world (only to get pregnant) – indeed the only superfluous moment when the announcer has been declared to be renamed Beychella – something everyone was already doing.

Even the edits in the doc, switching from the yellow outfits of the week one to the pink of the week, are so seamless they look like a simple filter editing trick – a testament to the inch perfect choreography.

Other estimates place Bey's take-home pay much higher – Billboard claims she was paid a much more believable $ 8m- $ 12, and points out that she would have been paid handsome by Netflix for the resulting doc too, if Dave Chapel's $ 35million for two comedy specials is anything to go by.

While it never released its 2018 figures, Coachella in turn grossed $ 114million in ticket sales in 2017 (prices have not changed since then and it always sells out); this figure excludes the millions of millions it makes on food and beverage, camping and lodging, sponsorships, licensing and advertising sold against the livestream of weekend 1 on Youtube.
