Disney + is the best app of the year, according to Google Play users

The editors of the American version of Google Play also had their say. They opted for Loóna, a bedtime relaxation app, as the best and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild-inspired Genshin impact as the best game of the year from the Play Store.

Their five best films are Bill and Ted face the music, Just Mercy, Miss Juneteenth, forward and Oscar winner Parasite. Editors’ book choices include A promised land by Barack Obama, Solutions and other problems by Allie Brosh and You had me in Hola by Alexis Daria.

The full list of awards included accolades in a number of other categories. The Google Play editors have included Chris Hemsworth Centr’s fitness and nutrition app as one of their best personal growth apps and Zoom in the daily essentials section. United Nations ShareTheMeal was named one of the best apps in the store for good, while Disney + and Dolby On were mentioned in the list of the best apps for fun.

The publishers also highlighted a number of other games. Their indie games choices include Sky: children of light and Grey. Among the selections in the category of best competitive games are Legends of Runeterra, Gwent and Brawlhalla.
