Disney's evil sequel, Mistress of Evil, gets her first dark trailer

This is not a fairy tale.

Disney has just released a trailer for Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, the sequel to Maleficent. Remember her? One of the most notorious villains of Disney's villainous pantheon? Well, you go. In addition to being an incredibly difficult villain of Kingdom Hearts, the horned one first appeared in Disney's Maleficent, in 2014, in a much darker version of Sleeping Beauty.

She is now back with a darker, darker teaser and her iconic epic horns. These are probably the best horns in the entire Disney movie catalog. The wings are good too. Oh – and that laugh. The evil laughter. It's there too.

The film is directed by Joachim Rønning and stars Angelina Jolie as the mean owner. She Fanning returns, while Michelle Pfeiffer, Ed Skrein and Chiwetel Ejiofor join the actors.

The film takes several years after the original and, according to Disney, "continues to explore the complex relationship between the horned fairy and the future queen". He leaves on October 18th in the United States.
