DJI’s unannounced FPV drone is already the star of a full unbox video

DJI’s very first FPV (first person view) drone hasn’t been a secret for months – but an unboxing video now shows the new quadcopter, controller, and FPV goggles from virtually every angle (via OsitaLV).

While the prominent “NOT FOR SALE” and “DISPLAY DEMO” stickers on the box and controller suggest that some details may change ahead of an alleged launch in March, we can clearly see a set of forward and downward facing cameras. low which probably avoid obstacles. sensors, in addition to the large main camera mounted high in the drone’s hull.

The battery is a large rectangular brick that plugs directly into the back, and it looks like the kit comes with a charger and a portable power bank – although it’s unclear which device plugs into it.

The new controller design looks more like the gamepad than ever before, with individual sculpted grips for each hand and triggers on the back, as well as DJI’s now familiar detachable joysticks that fit inside. each handle. Our video host also says that the new V2 goggles are lighter than those originally introduced by DJI in 2019, although the design is quite similar.

Unfortunately, there are no footage of an actual flight yet, and I wouldn’t expect the group that filmed this video (Dominion Drones) to provide one anytime soon: there is no trace of the video on the company’s YouTube channel, and this copy comes to us via SpiderMonkeyFPV instead.
