Doctor Strange 2 Theory could explain the release of the Spider-Man MCU

It's likely that by the time of the upcoming Spider-Man movie, Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige will have no more role to play in bringing the hero to life on the Web. Sony and Disney recently managed to block Spider-Man rights negotiations. If nothing changes, Sony will become the exclusive owner of the character, which means that Peter Parker Tom Holland will no longer be part of the group. Marvel film universe. While this is certainly disappointing, a fan has a Spider-Man / MCU output stage idea that would make a lot of sense and would help launch Spidey solo movies for Sony at the same time.

RusVir, a Reddit user, published a theory about the subreddit of Marvel Studios on Thursday, explaining to Spider-Man an awesome way to leave the franchise seamlessly, and it's all centered around Doctor Strange.

There are two things to remember before diving into this theory. First of all, remember that Spider-Man is currently on the run, Far from home finished with J. Jonah Jameson revealing his identity to the world and portraying him as a dangerous criminal. Second, remember that Doctor Strange's sequel is called Strange doctor in the multiverse of madness, and will open the MCU to the multiverse.

The idea here suggests that Sony and Marvel are working together for an additional scene, allowing Tom Holland's Spider-Man and Marisa Tomei's Aunt May to feature in the post-credits scene of the new Doctor Strange. Peter needs an escape and seeks help from Strange. The Sorcerer Supreme tells him about a universe that is almost identical to theirs but that does not have Peter Parker. There are no Avengers or their extraordinary threats either. He will have to let the people he loves, but that will protect him and May. (There is also an additional element of the theory that suggests that Ben Reilly exists in this alternate universe, but it could go one way or the other.)

So, with apparently no better option, Peter takes a long look at his universe and crosses the portal. When he arrives in the alternate universe, he learns that there are threats that Strange has not mentioned, including Venom and Carnage. He continues his work as Spider-Man to try to stop these new enemies.

This is obviously a long shot of a theory for the release of Peter's MCU, but it is by far the best that circulates online. Do you think it would work? Let us know in the comments!
