It's likely that by the time of the upcoming Spider-Man movie, Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige will have no more role to play in bringing the hero to life on the Web. There are two things to remember before diving into this theory. First of all, remember that Spider-Man is currently on the run, Far from home finished with J. Jonah Jameson revealing his identity to the world and portraying him as a dangerous criminal. Second, remember that Doctor Strange's sequel is called Strange doctor in the multiverse of madness, and will open the MCU to the multiverse.
The idea here suggests that Sony and Marvel are working together for an additional scene, allowing Tom Holland's Spider-Man and Marisa Tomei's Aunt May to feature in the post-credits scene of the new Doctor Strange. Peter needs an escape and seeks help from Strange. The Sorcerer Supreme tells him about a universe that is almost identical to theirs but that does not have Peter Parker. There are no Avengers or their extraordinary threats either. He will have to let the people he loves, but that will protect him and May.
