3. Sugary beverages, including sodas
There is absolutely nothing nutritional about soft drinks or other sugary drinks. Aside from a quick sugar rush (followed by a slow sugar crash), you gain nothing in addition to extra calories. And soda is not the only culprit. Sweet drinks include energy drinks, sports drinks and fruit juices. A study in 2017 even established a link between daily consumption of sodas and dementia.
Sip water instead of sugary drinks. If you can not stand the taste of still water, infuse it with your favorite fruit to get a naturally sweet, refreshing drink that will keep your brain and body hydrated and working at full speed.
