A puppy seized from a Warren home where its owners have been accused of animal cruelty regains health.

The six-month-old pit-husky mix weighed 23 pounds when seized by aid workers during a search at 323 Prospect Street in Warren in late August. Authorities have said a healthy dog ​​of this mixture and this age will weigh between 40 and 45 pounds.

The animal would have been infested with parasites and “Had obviously never been to a veterinarian or received any vaccines”, according to the police.

According to the executive director of the Humane Officer and Paws Along the River Humane Society, Karen Kolos, the dog has been seized and his health is improving.

The animal was taken to the Kinzua Veterinary Center for evaluation and currently lives and is being treated at the Humane Society.
