Donald Trump Jr has tested positive for Covid-19, the latest in a series of infections to hit the president’s family and inner circle.
A spokesperson said Trump Jr. learned of his diagnosis earlier this week, had no symptoms and was in quarantine.

The coronavirus has now killed more than a quarter of a million Americans. Trump Jr, like his father, has been criticized for downplaying the severity of the pandemic. In October, as deaths in the United States approached 1,000 per day amid a record spike in infections, Trump Jr told Fox News that critics of the Trump administration’s approach to the pandemic were ‘really morons’ and said Covid-19 was dead right now in America. are “almost nothing”.
Earlier on Friday, Andrew Giuliani, the son of President Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani, confirmed that he had also tested positive for the coronavirus.
“This morning, I tested positive for COVID-19”, the youngest Giuliani, who joined Trump’s White House Office of Public Liaison and Intergovernmental Affairs in 2017, said on Twitter.
“I have mild symptoms and am following all appropriate protocols including quarantine and contact tracing.”
Andrew attended his father’s controversial press conference Thursday at the Republican National Committee headquarters in Washington, according to multiple reports. Elder Giuliani and other advocates for the Trump campaign spoke without a mask from an indoor podium to an audience of dozens.
Several White House staff have tested positive for the disease in recent weeks, including Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, while six members of Congress have tested positive this week.
