‘Don’t Wait’: Anti-Vaccines Suffered From COVID Now Urging Everyone To Get Vaccinated

Davis, California – A man in northern California is now urging unvaccinated people to get vaccinated. The old anti-vaxxer changes tone after a close call to the hospital.

Saul Torres has gone so far as to call COVID-19 a government-made lie. This is something his family agreed to until the virus spread through their home and sent Torres to the hospital.

He considers himself lucky to be alive, but reminds others that they might be unlucky.

“I’m walking, but it’s tough right now,” Torres said. “When I came to the hospital, she checked my weight and I lost 42 pounds in 20 days.”

The 42-year-old construction worker thought he was young, strong and healthy. Not only did he think the COVID vaccine wasn’t necessary, he didn’t even believe the virus was real.

“But right now it’s different because now I know,” Torres said.

Dr Yesenia Ramos, of the University of California-Davis Medical Center, claims that Torres’ COVID-19 led to Guillain-Barré syndrome, an autoimmune disease triggered by viral and bacterial infections. Ramos says it could have been avoided if Torres had been vaccinated.

“It’s sad to hear that he didn’t have anyone to turn to to talk about the vaccine and clarify his questions about this vaccine,” Ramos said.

“When I got out of the hospital I see everything differently. Everything looks different. I love my children. I love everyone because I have another opportunity. So I recommend, go vaccinate. You know, don’t wait. Don don’t wait, “Torres said.

Vaccination rates among minorities in Sacramento County are low, with only 30% of Latinos fully vaccinated.

Torres is now on a mission to educate more people about the vaccine and plans to get his own when he is healthier in a few weeks.
