Doug Pederson may not coach the Philadelphia Eagles any longer.
Pederson’s future as the team’s head coach is “not firm” and he could be sacked if team owner Jeffrey Lurie is not confident in the vision for the team. ‘coach for the future, ESPN reported on Sunday.

The recent speculation about Pederson’s future comes a week after the team were accused of tanking the Washington soccer team in a game that had playoff implications.
Washington won and managed to take the NFC East title, but if they had lost, the New York Giants would have won the division crown.
Pederson made the much-criticized decision to place quarterback Jalen Hurts for Nate Sudfeld for the Eagles’ last four records. Carson Wentz was inactive.

Pederson’s relationship with Wentz was reportedly “fractured,” but he rebuffed those claims last week.

Pederson helped Philadelphia win their only Super Bowl title. The Eagles signed a contract extension with Pederson until the 2022 season just two years ago.
