Diabetes Prevention Program Dates: The National Kidney Foundation of Michigan is offering free Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) information sessions online in September 2021. If you have prediabetes or concerns about developing diabetes type 2, -A certified lifestyle change program can help reduce the risk, delay the onset or even prevent diabetes. In PLR Online, you are part of a small online support group. You can attend the program from the comfort of your own home or anywhere you can access a computer, tablet or smartphone. To be considered for an upcoming workshop, RSVP to ReadySetPrevent.org for one of the free one-hour information sessions: Wednesday, September 8 at 6 p.m. Wednesday September 15 at 11 am; Thursday September 23 at 11 am; Monday, September 27 at 6 p.m. The new PLRs will begin on different days and times. Please call the NKFM at 800-482-1455 if you are unable to attend an information session so we can explore other options. The workshops can be covered by insurers, various funders or scholarships.
