UPDATE: Prolific music producer and music industry giant Dr Dre has said he is doing well after being hospitalized with a brain aneurysm. Dre addressed friends, family and fans with a social media post shared on Tuesday night.

“Thank you to my family, friends and fans for their interest and good wishes. I am doing very well and receiving excellent care from my medical team. I will be leaving the hospital soon and going home, ”he wrote. “Well done to all of Cedars’ great healthcare professionals. One Love!!”

Born Andre Young, the NWA rapper turned solo star and mega-producer also co-founded the Beats by Dre empire with Jimmy Iovine and helped start and manage Death Row Records. Dr Dre’s many production credits: Eminem, Tupac Shakur and Snoop Dogg.
