Dr Anthony Fauci issued a serious warning regarding the coronavirus pandemic this week, saying that a variant worse than the delta variant could persist.
Fauci said the delta variant spread easily through the unvaccinated population, according to the McClatchy news site. And it could get worse, as the virus has plenty of opportunities to turn into an even more deadly strain.
Fauci said we’re lucky the COVID-19 vaccines can stop the delta variant. But a worse variant could still come from the mutation.
