11:24 am PT – Dr. Oz just detailed his heroic vital acts at the airport … and it’s amazing.
Oz tells us that the man who collapsed had no pulse, was turning a horrible color and had foam coming out of his mouth when he started doing CPR … but things turned out. returned when Oz was able to control the man’s airways and the defibrillator arrived.
Dr Oz says the defibrillator shocked the man at the highest power possible, and it worked … in essence, bringing the man back from the dead !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oz explains to us why he could not have saved the man’s life without the help of the Port Authority police … and our law enforcement sources confirmed the man was 60 and taken to the hospital, where there has been no update on his condition.
And, get that… we’re told that Oz didn’t tell the cop helping him exactly who he was, he just said he was a doctor.
10:39 am PT – We got a photo of the medical emergency scene … it is not known if Oz is in the image, but you can see the medical staff around the man.
Dr Oz saved a life at Newark Airport after a man collapsed face down while retrieving baggage … and the right doc was in the right place at the right time.
Sources close to Dr Oz told TMZ … Oz rolled the man over on Monday night, cleared his airways and began giving him CPR before using a defibrillator. We were told the guy stagnated and Oz shocked him back to life as a huge crowd watched.
We are told there were no other medics there, but a Port Authority police officer was there who helped Oz to continue CPR while he cleared the airways of the man.
It looks like the man may have suffered a heart attack … he is recovering in a New Jersey hospital and is “fine” while awaiting test results. We are told that Oz is in contact with the man’s wife, who was traveling with him at the time.
