A lot has happened since my first NFL 2019 simulation project in mid-January. The draft order of the first round was set after the Patriots defeated the Rams at the Super Bowl LIII. The best senior hopefuls of the country clashed at the Senior Bowl. And the winner of the Heisman Trophy, Kyler Murray, ignored baseball and is committed to playing football.
This means that the moment is propitious for another opportunity to project the first round of this draft, going from 1 to 32 and explaining my thoughts on each choice.

Josh Allen, OLB, Kentucky
If the Niners do not negotiate to add more choices, I expect them to take advantage here. And Allen (6-5, 250) is just a step behind Bosa on my board. Two ex-first-round picks along the defense line (Arik Armstead and Solomon Thomas) struggled in San Francisco, as did Allen's talent, who had 17 passes and 17 forced fumbles last season. Allen would fill a crying need.
