This season’s edition of the Champions Classic takes place on Tuesday starting with a top 10 clash with No.6 Duke and No.8 Michigan State at Cameron Indoor Stadium, home of the Blue Devils. Both teams are undefeated at the start of the game, with Duke winning once and Michigan State winning twice, and each enter the night with the aspiration to claim a signature win early in the season.

For Tom Izzo’s Spartans, there’s this and more on the line. The Hall of Famer are only 2-12 years old in their coaching career against compatriot Mike Krzyzewski, and so Tuesday night there are bragging rights and pride at stake as well.

Below you’ll find everything you need to know to watch the game, along with details on how to watch the Blue Devils and Spartans at 7:30 p.m. ET at Cameron Indoor Stadium, which is followed by No.20 Kentucky vs. # 7 Kansas at Indianapolis at 9:30 p.m.

Storylines

Duke: Duke won in double digits over Coppin State to open his season in ho-hum mode. We expected a lot. The big test takes place on Tuesday against Sparty. Coach K replaces almost all of his starting lineup of last season’s 25-game winning roster, including second-round players Tre Jones and Vernon Carey Jr. them competitively led by a pair of college students from freshman in Jeremy Roach and Jalen Johnson.

Michigan State: You don’t replace cogs like Cassius Winston and Xavier Tillman, but Tom Izzo et Cie have what it takes to try. The addition of the Marquette transfer Joey Hauser helps that end, as does the returning experience of Rocket Watts, Joshua Langford and Aaron Henry. Not the same star power as last year, but enough size, experience and talent to be one of the best in the Big Ten. This team certainly has an advantage in the college experience over Duke.

Duke v Michigan State, pick

Last Chances:

Blue devils -4

Maybe Duke has more NBA talent, and maybe Duke has the perceived advantage because he has the advantage on the court. But the state of Michigan has more experience, more proven producers, and a Hall of Fame coach to fight the other Hall of Fame Coach. It should be close, but I love Izzo in an oppressed place here. To choose: Michigan State +4
