This may not have been the ideal way to prove that Stephen A. Smith was wrong.

Earlier this year, Smith famously called quarterback Dwayne Haskins of the Ohio State, more runner than pitcher. On Saturday, Dwayne Haskins ran the 40-yard Scouting Combine. And it did not go very well.

He came out of the blocks on his first try, finishing with an unofficial 40 seconds. He released the blocks cleanly on the second try, but the time was actually slower at 5.06 seconds.

Haskins ran for a total of 108 yards in 14 games last year, highlighting the fact that he is not a runner. And not many large quarters with a prolonged career are runners. For all players, the need to run 40 meters in a straight line arises only when something really has happened, or when something very bad has happened.

That's why Haskins' time is not that bad. But if nothing else should cause people to stop thinking of him more as a runner than a pitcher.
