EA has formed a new studio to develop the upcoming Skate game. On Wednesday, the publisher announced the existence of Full Circle, which, like the former developer of Skate Black Box, will be based in Vancouver, Canada. EA brought in Daniel McCulloch, who was previously head of Xbox Live at Microsoft, to lead Full Circle as chief executive. He will be joined by two series veterans, Deran Chung and Chris “Cuz” Parry, who EA says will serve as the game’s creative leadership.

“We are working on the next evolution of Skateboarding and are ready to deliver an experience that will encompass and develop everything our community found special about the previous game,” the developer says on its website. Based on the positions Full Circle is trying to fill, the title is still in the early stages of development. EA hasn’t announced a release date for the next Skate game, or what platforms you’ll be able to play it on.

EA hasn’t released a new skate game since the 2010s Skating 3 and in 2013, he closed Black Box. Since then, fans of the series have been harassing the publisher to publish a sequel. As recently as last year, there were rumors that the company was working on a mobile port of Skating 3, which, as you can imagine, was not greeted with much enthusiasm. In fact, professional skater Jason Dill captured the sentiment of everyone involved the best when he said, “… nobody wants your stupid mobile version of Skating 3. Skateboard already 4.
