EL PASO COUNTY, Colorado (KRDO) – In the past 24 hours, El Paso County has recorded 891 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 5 COVID-related deaths, according to the Department of Public Health and Colorado Environment.
This recent increase in the number of cases comes as El Paso County switches to Safer-at-Home: Level Orange starting at 5 p.m. Friday.
Last week, on November 3, the incidence rate surpassed the stay-at-home threshold. As of Friday, November 13, the incidence rate in El Paso County is 886.2, according to state data.
Pueblo County is experiencing a similar peak in cases. According to the data, there have been 285 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 4 COVID-related deaths in Pueblo County.
Earlier this week, the state of Colorado moved Pueblo County to a safer home level: Orange level guidelines starting Saturday at 5 p.m. The mayor of Pueblo Gradisar also announced an extension of the current curfew to 22 hours.
