Elizabeth Warren receives key group endorsement

The Progressive Workers' Families Party approves the presidential candidacy of Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren. The party approved the last presidential cycle of Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont

The Workers' Coalition party's decision to support Warren rather than Sanders comes as most national polls reveal a group of leading Democratic candidates including former Vice President Joe Biden, as well as Sanders and Warren .

The group, which has seen its influence grow since the election of 2016, said Sanders, was second in the party's party approval process.

Maurice Mitchell, national director of the group, said Warren "offers hope to millions of workers who have been excluded from our democracy and our economy." He says the group will help Warren create the "movement that will make his transformation plans a reality".
