Following the exit of the Elvis Costello massif Armed forces reissue, the singer shared an updated video for one of the album’s most notable tracks, “(What’s So Funny ‘Bout) Peace, Love & Understanding?”

The new runway visual from 1979 features illustrations by Costello and the late graphic designer Barney Bubbles, as well as scene animation from Costello’s last tour before Covid.

The nine-LP Complete Armed Forces, which arrived on November 6, featured the newly remastered album alongside four live recordings from the era, the Outtakes compilation Sketches for emotional fascism, and three singles dedicated to the hits “Oliver’s Army”, “Accidents Will Happen” and “(What’s So Funny ‘Bout) Peace, Love & Understanding?”

Most of this record was written in hotel rooms or on a tour bus, scribbled in a notebook that rarely left me or failing me, from fragments and sentences scribbled on paper cocktail napkins or hotel stationery, ”Costello wrote in the new reissue notes. .

Costello also recently released their latest studio album. Hey Clockface, which he promoted with a visit to Late show.
