Welsh rugby legend, Gareth Thomas, has completed his emotional and grueling triathlon challenge – the day he revealed that he was HIV-positive.
The former Wales captain said he was determined to carry out the Ironman event in Pembrokeshire to help ward off the stigma that some still attach to the disease.
He captured the heart of the crowd at Tenby, who encouraged him during the epic swimming, cycling and road racing.
He finished in just over 12 hours – greeted by her husband Stephen at the finish line.
