Entergy forced to trigger statewide power outages

Entergy has launched additional power outages for its customers in its four-state service area. The company is taking this action as directed by our Reliability Coordinator, the Independent Midcontinent System Operator, as a last resort and to avoid more extensive and prolonged power outages that could seriously affect the reliability of the power grid. The directive covers the entire southern region of MISO, from Arkansas to Texas through the southern Gulf.
