Fortnite players have been facing issues where their waypoint markers are not showing up, and Epic Games has officially responded to the problem on Reddit.
Fortnite community players were unhappy with the release of v7.40 due to a bug affecting waypoint markers, especially in duo and team mode.
It was reported that markers did not show up or display the wrong color, which could lead to poor communication during a fight.
Sean Hamilton, community coordinator of Epic Games, responded to a Twitter post confirming that the team was working on a patch and was aware of the problem:

The FortniteBR sub-forum has been filled with complaints from players about the problem of markers on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
A post read, "tbh it's really boring. Set a marker and this is not visible. "
Another speaker said, "I noticed it yesterday on PS4. You had to avoid going in and out of the map to find out who was the market and who was boring!
