Epic Games Announces Time and Date of Fortnite Content Update v10.20 – No Server Interruption

Epic Games recently announced the time and date of the next update of Fortnite, namely the update of the content of version 10.20.

Prior to each update, Epic updates the MOTD (message of the day) to announce the next item or weapon to be added to Fortnite Battle Royale. We have seen the automatic sniper rifle, the Junk Rift and the Shield Bubble added this season, and we now know what the next item will be.

The news feed recently updated to show the next item coming into the game, Zapper trap element. The description of the article is "DANGER HIGH VOLTAGE. Trap 'em and Zap' em!". Here is what the trap looks like:

Depending on the leak, the trap can be placed on floors, ceilings and walls. The trap is of rare rarity with a maximum stack size of 4 and will deal 50 damage. Leaks have also suggested that the trap could be placed on enemy builds, but we will have to wait for patch notes to be released to confirm if this is true.

Epic has announced the next update, which is to update the content of version 10.20. The update will be released at 8:00 ET and will not require any downtime or downloads of new files.

In addition to the trap, we will also see the return of Kevin the Cube in the floating island that has been filtered from the loading screen of Season X, Week 6. The rift tag will activate in Fatal Fields and we will see the floating island come back tomorrow. Expect to see floating-island information in the v10.20 content update patch notes.
