When Star Wars Celebration arrives in Chicago next month, the convention will feature a panel of Star Wars: Episode IX. Announced today, the jury will be composed of director J.J. Abrams and Lucasfilm will direct Kathleen Kennedy. Abrams returned to the franchise for the still untitled Episode IX after leading the force awakens in 2015 and produce 2017 The last Jedi.
The announcement indicates that there will be "a lot of surprises and special guests" at the panel, which seems to indicate that the first images of Episode IX will debut during the panel, probably with an appearance of the cast. The panel will be broadcast live on the Internet and broadcast at the convention even for those who can not enter the room.
