ERG professor Todd Zywicki explains his mandate exemption for vaccines: “Natural immunity is 27 times more protective”

Since President Joe Biden announced his controversial new vaccine terms targeting private companies, critics have argued the move was divisive and unconstitutional.

George Mason University (GMU) law professor Todd Zywicki – who obtained a medical exemption from the university – is one such critic, telling CBN News’s Faith Nation that the warrants actually undermine the message vaccine and insult the intelligence of Americans at the same time. .

Zywicki’s own case against ERG earned him an exemption from the vaccination requirement there because he claimed he had “natural immunity” after contracting COVID.

The Virginia-based university had a mandate requiring all students in attendance to be vaccinated by August 1. Professors and staff had a deadline of August 15 to get vaccinated. Those who did not respect the mandate had to justify a medical or religious exemption.

The law professor explained that forcing people to get vaccinated is not the way to reach those who do not want it. In fact, it causes more tension among Americans.

“Money orders are certainly not the way to overcome hesitation, that is, forcing someone to do something will not make them more willing to do it. And what I think we are already seeing , it’s a revolution brewing, especially among those like me who have natural immunity, ”said Zywicki.

“There are now reports that nurses who have natural immunity are giving up. There has been a report that they are trying to reprogram births. I have heard of heart units being closed. natural immunity must be respected here because of the risks involved. they put us, “he added. “These draconian, just overwhelming people will not overcome the hesitation over vaccines. You might force some people to get vaccinated, but that will not improve this country’s commitment to come together and fight this pandemic. “

Zywicki said exemptions should apply to the broad vaccine mandates announced by the White House on Friday, despite the administration’s “misguided” way of dealing with the problem.

“We are now a year and a half into this pandemic. What we should be focusing on is people’s level of immunity, regardless of whether it is acquired by vaccine or by natural immunity … this is the solution, ”he noted. “It’s not by vaccinating people who don’t need to be vaccinated like me, by forcing people who pose health risks, by leaving it up to individual employers to determine if someone has a health risk. legitimate medical exemption… it’s just crazy and it violates the Constitution. ”

“Your right to autonomy and bodily integrity is not a question of majority voting, and it is not a question that we put to suburban voters to determine if someone has the right to be.” free from involuntary medical activity. We should focus on immunity and that is our course of action to get out of it in the long term. Immunity, however, acquired. “

He pointed out that scientific evidence supporting natural immunity is apparent.

“The science on this is clear at this point, unless you have a superstitious attachment to vaccines, natural immunity is robust, long-lasting, broad, it protects against variants and we all know the Israeli study reveals that natural immunity is 27 times more protective than vaccines against symptomatic infections and eight times more protective against hospitalization, ”he said.

“It’s really not a competition at this point and the idea that we’re going to continue on this one route of vaccination and ignore natural immunity – my students, my colleagues at least are too smart for that and I would like that. someone in the White House is doing it. wake up to that fact too. “
