ESPN will revive "NFL PrimeTime" with Chris Berman and Tom Jackson, but only in streaming

If you are a fan of the NFL of a certain age, you have probably spent many sundowns on Sunday watching your television watching ESPN's beloved program "NFL PrimeTime".

For those who do not know it or who are not big enough, it's not so long ago, it's your geographical position that dictated what games you had to see on Sunday. If you were a Bears fan living in San Diego, you were probably out of luck.

"NFL PrimeTime" helped fill this void, inspiring league viewers to retrace the highlights of every game of the day.

It's coming back. For a small fee.

Chris Berman, Tom Jackson back

ESPN announced Friday that "NFL PrimeTime" was back, starting Sunday at 19:30.

One problem: it will only be available on ESPN +, the network streaming service that costs $ 4.99 per month.

The show will be broadcast live and will also be available on demand, with highlights of Sunday night and Monday night games added.

The original "NFL PrimeTime" was released from 1987 to 2005; given the time elapsed since the first broadcast, the target audience of his return may not be a large user of streaming services, making the choice to place it on ESPN + a little strange.
