Meanwhile, Apple was proposing earlier this year a lot of new accessible characters, including two service dogs, one person with a cane, an ear with a hearing aid, a person in an electric wheelchair, a person in a manual wheelchair, a prosthetic arm, a prosthetic leg, and a person with an index finger on the cheek to represent the gesture of the American sign language for "deaf". Do not expect these characters anytime soon. This year 's emoji list has already been established, so if approved, Apple' s accessibility features will not be available until next year.
