ADDIS ABABA – The Ministry of Education stated that it was going to revise the contents of civic and ethical education with the aim of adding concepts who advocate peace, tolerance and multiculturalism. Minister Dr. Samuel Kifle, told The Ethiopian Herald that revising the concepts and values ​​that make up the Civics and Ethics course is crucial in order to alleviate the unrest that has occurred in different universities from the country. The content will be revised from 2020, he added.

Samuel also stated that the roadmap of education and training that should soon be implemented should change the concepts of ethiopianism, multiculturalism and ethnic plurality in higher institutions, since most of these concepts will be provided to freshmen. Similarly, noted the Minister of State, concepts of diversity and Ethiopianism will be included in school curricula at all levels of education.

According to him, during the university internship, 60% of students As usual, they will be placed in remote areas of their villages, which will help them to discover and experience many things about the nation.

He said, "A good personality can not develop simply because someone joins the universities. For this, families are the main responsible institution: they must raise their children by teaching the norms, values ​​and customs of the nation. He added that families should educate their children to the value of peace, ethiopianism, the rule of law and tolerance.

For him, youth could be a driving force If they are not guided and corrected, the nation will not be able to use their new strength.
